La pr\u00e9sidente du D\u00e9partement de la Charente-Maritime a profit\u00e9 des grandes mar\u00e9es hier pour se rendre au pied du monument, d\u00e9gag\u00e9 \u00e0 mar\u00e9e basse. Avec ses \u00e9quipes, celle de France T\u00e9l\u00e9vision et son vice-pr\u00e9sident St\u00e9phane Villain, elle a pu constater l\u2019\u00e9tat des fissures sur le fort et les cons\u00e9quences des assauts de la mer. D\u2019importants travaux doivent d\u00e9marrer en 2025 pour reb\u00e2tir deux ouvrages de protection : le havre d\u2019accostage en 2026, et l\u2019\u00e9peron rocheux un an plus tard.
