La K\u00e9nyane C\u00e9lestine Chepchirchir a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la meilleure performance de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019\u00e9preuve chez les f\u00e9minines, avec un temps de 2h 23\u2019 et 38\u2019\u2019. L\u2019athl\u00e8te de 25 ans a pulv\u00e9ris\u00e9 de plus de quatre minutes le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent record d\u00e9tenu depuis 2010 par l\u2019Ethiopienne Goitetom Haftu, lors de la 20e \u00e9dition.
\nChez les hommes, c\u2019est le Kenyan Edwin Soi qui s\u2019est impos\u00e9. A 35 ans, il r\u00e9alise la 5e meilleure performance de l\u2019histoire de la course en 2h 09\u2019 et 16\u2019\u2019.
