Le projet a certes pris beaucoup de retard, mais il pourrait faire partie du prochain contrat de plan Etat-R\u00e9gion. C\u2019est en tout cas le souhait du Conseil d\u00e9partemental de la Charente-Maritime qui pose une condition. Une condition imp\u00e9rative, comme le souligne le D\u00e9partement en gras dans un communiqu\u00e9. \u00ab Tous les travaux pr\u00e9paratoires \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9lectrification de la ligne Royan-Angoul\u00eame devront, je cite, \u00eatre termin\u00e9s dans l\u2019actuel contrat de plan Etat-R\u00e9gion, afin que l\u2019\u00e9lectrification soit imm\u00e9diatement engag\u00e9e dans le prochain contrat \u00bb. Il s\u2019agit de moderniser les voies et la signalisation. Une mani\u00e8re de s\u2019assurer de la poursuite du projet, attendu depuis des lustres par les \u00e9lus de la c\u00f4te royannaise, pour d\u00e9velopper le tourisme.<br \/>\nCar, aujourd\u2019hui, la priorit\u00e9 est ailleurs. Et le D\u00e9partement, qui s\u2019est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 hauteur de 55 millions d\u2019euros sur l\u2019actuel contrat 2015-2020, se dit pr\u00eat \u00e0 red\u00e9ployer des cr\u00e9dits initialement pr\u00e9vus pour l\u2019\u00e9lectrification de la ligne Angoul\u00eame-Royan sur des travaux d\u2019urgence. Comme c\u2019est le cas sur les lignes Saintes-Niort et Saintes-Bordeaux o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9tat des voies est particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9occupant. Une situation qui a d\u2019ailleurs contraint SNCF r\u00e9seau \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la vitesse des trains, entra\u00eenant un allongement des temps de parcours, pr\u00e9judiciable \u00e0 la fois pour les voyageurs et pour l\u2019utilisation de ce mode de transport. Il est donc indispensable selon le D\u00e9partement de r\u00e9aliser ces travaux tr\u00e8s rapidement avant de penser \u00e0 l\u2019avenir, sans l\u2019occulter pour autant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>C\u2019est ce que d\u00e9clare le D\u00e9partement de la Charente-Maritime.
